For those of you without a GPS(I'm one of them), on highway 128/north, from the street called Tubbs lane to Bennett Lane is about 3/4 of a mile. You will see many flowers at the entrance before you see the actual Bennett Lane winery sign. The winery is on the right.
I can't wait to meet all of you, but do wish winecountry cruiser could make it. Hey maybe your surgery will go so well that you can come. I can always hope.

Thanks all for your support. I remain hopeful that all will go well and that we'll be able to attend the Meet & Greet! Hope to see you there (yes, I know -- very bad pun).

I hope you will be there. We are looking forward to meeting you and Barb.

A few years back, I had a serious eye problem with considerable vision loss. I had surgery performed by a retinal specialist. The surgery went well as I am sure your's will. Hope to see you there.

Glad to hear that your eye surgery went well. I'm hopeful that all will go well with mine. I've definitely got some of the best eye surgeons (one is a retinal specialist) in the S.F. area that will be operating on me. Unless something unforeseen happens, I think the odds are good that we'll be there. Can't afford to miss a party, you know!

Craig, I really really hope you will be at Bennett Lane next Saturday. I do know for a fact that eyes heal very very fast. Being that I wear contacts, sometimes I scratch my eye, so I have to take out the lens. It is usually fine in 12 hours or less. Also my niece had laser surgery one day and the next day she was given the OK to fly to Australia. So I wish you the very best of luck, See ya next Saturday(positive thinking)

Thanks Bernadette. Recovery after the original cataract surgery took a couple of days. Even though this surgery is more complicated, I'm hoping the recovery time won't be much longer. With all the positive thinking, how can we not be there!

Outside my window this morning guess what I saw. Bennett Lanes brand new hot air balloon. It's bright yellow with a grape cluster on each side and Bennett Lane Winery lettering scrolled across the grape cluster. What a fantastic sight!!!!!

Hi, Mrs WineCountryCruiser here. For those that don't know Craig had surgery on his eye this morning. The surgery went as well as could be expected. We have an appointment at 10:30 tomorrow morning to see the doctor. He's in a lot of pain right now but that should get better with time. He really appreciates all your well wishes! I'll post again tomorrow after the doctor appointment. Thanks for all your concerns. It was a very scary surgery!

We are now officially set Saturday and good news. It is going to cost a little less as I didn't need to order the large tray, just the medium. I will recalculate and get back to you today. I also bet we will have leftovers, so if you want leftovers, bring something to put them in.

I bet it won't be the wine that's leftover.

Sorry to confuse all of you on the pricing, but here is the correction. If we have 10 people attending(no wine country cruiser) the price per person which includes the wine, water and wraps is $14.80. Now if wine country cruiser makes it or even wine for health(12 people), then the price is reduced to $12.40 per person. SO, how ever we want to work this out is fine with me. I suggest that we just plan on paying $14.80 per person and plan on leftovers to take home. Is that OK with all of you?

Hi there, it's me again! Well, we went to the doctor today for Craig's follow-up appointment post surgery. They took the bandage off and he can't see anything! He decided that he had so much fun that he wanted to do it again. So, he's back in surgery tomorrow afternoon. The doctor seems to think it is an easy fix but right now it's kind of hard to feel good about that! Thank heavens we have a dear friend in San Jose who is letting us stay with her. Hotels are very expensive in Silicon Valley during the week. I don't know if Craig had mentioned that we had to go to Santa Clara from Napa - about a 2 1/2 hr drive - for this surgery.

I'll post again tomorrow late after the surgery! Prayers please!

Barbara
