Maximum Cancellation Cover not enough

My annual travel insurance policy cover is £5,000 pp, pretty standard.
I am looking at a cruise costing over £10,000. What do other travellers do about the difference? Stand the loss? or is there another way?
I have spoken with my Insurer and that is there maximum.

That's the downside to lots of annual policies. Can't you just buy an additional policy to cover this trip?

Hi we have had a similar problem. We have booked a cruise on Regent Seven Seas & needed a high level of cover for cancellation. I spent 4 days surfing the web & yesterday found insurance with unlimited cancellation cover. The Broker is insurance choice.co,uk. I dealt with a girl called Aysa she was very helpful & her direct line no is 0843 2276561. The insurance policy is underwritten by the same insurers used by Cunard & cover was much cheaper than cunard offered. Hope this helps

Hi We are on Voyager from Dec. 1st Mumbai until Sydney, late January.

Hi Just over a year ago I was insured with American Express insurance . Their cancellation was £12,500 but the down side of this is that it costs a lot more.
