Default Mini suite on Oceana

We have just booked Mini suite on Oceana to the Canaries 2013. P & O have called us today and told us we have been given B748. The brochure states this cabin has a part obstructed view.

Should we change to a different cabin?

I don't understand this. We haven't been in a B deck aft minisuite but we have been in both C744 and C747. Both of these are marked in the new edition brochure as having partly obstructed views - well they haven't. Both the C deck aft minis have huge balconies. I can only think they might be referring to the fact that the balcony doesn't have a see through section below the balcony rail so you can't sit down and see through that part - if you see what I mean. There is no obstruction as such in any of the aft minisuite or suites.

I would call P&O and ask what the obstruction is. We have been in an aft mini three times now on Oceana and think they are fantastic. They are much larger than the mid-ship minis and we think have a much better layout with better balconies. I would be interested to know what P&O say the obstruction is. The balconies are cut out of the hull so there is a roof above but other than that I can't think what they are talking about.

we have had C746 aft suite, and i have also been (next door) in C744 mini suite. and these do have lovely balconies, and benefit from the sun for best part of the day, .... wouldnt have thought that B deck had any obstruction. ?? i think the balcony is slightly smaller, but touch more room inside the lounge. As others said, would contact P&O, but can definatley vouch for C deck if you do change, i dont think you would be disappointed. Hope that helps a little.

We have also been in C747 on Oceana, which was the best minisuite we have ever been in. I would be very happy with the cabin you have been given, it is far better than the normal minisuites. Have a great cruise!
