Dance Club on Allure
I was just wondering.. On the Allure, is the night club a place that has a live band type for people to dance to, or is it more a dj type who plays different types of music, including newer/modern music?

I'll check when I'm on this coming weekend. All of the nightclubs I've been to on RCI ships, usually have a DJ. Some of the smaller dancing venues have a band, i.e., Boleros.
The nightclub usually plays more modern music....club/house music.

Which night club are you referring to?
Blaze on Deck 4 is the traditional night club / DJ setting.
Dazzles is the other kind of night club, where most nights they'll have a live band. It's on deck 8 & 9 (upper level) and has a fabulous view of the board walk. On my Oasis sailing, they had a DJ in Dazzles some nights too... but it was mostly band.

In my opinion Dazzles is by far the best night club venue on any RCI ship.

It was the same on the Allure.
Blaze had a DJ played modern/pop music
Dazzles had a live band and played a variety of music. It was announced in the Compass what the theme was.
They also on certain nights had dance music/dj or band on one of the upper decks (my husband went) with a mix of music. they list it in the compass.
Boleros also had live music many nights.
The only issue we had was in Dazzles there were several very young kids (ages 3-6) dancing and jumping on the dance floor and there was no adult supervision. It turned me off dancing there a couple of times.
