Default Braemar Skylark

Just read today that the gym is being moved into where the Skylark is now. Anyone know what will be in the area where the gym is now (bearing in mind its not long since it was moved to make room for the new Observatory lounge) and if the Skylark is being relocated? Just interested.

seems a good place to put the gym. It's always good to have a view, and there will be more space. Skylark wasn't really being used much. Glad to hear Braemar is having a bit of a make over. We did out first voyage on Braemar in April/May and thought it seemed a bit down at heel - not the ship that others had enthused about.

I wouldn't go as far as to say I wouldn't go in her again - but prefer Balmoral and Black Watch.

Default Enhanced fitness facilities on board Fred. Olsen

This is the official statement released last week confirming the changes on board Braemar:

Fitness fanatics on board Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Braemar can now take advantage of some excellent new facilities, as the gym has been moved from Atlantic Deck 3 midships to where the Skylark Club was located, on Bridge Deck 7 at the rear of the ship.

Nathan Philpot, Sales and Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said: “The new gym on board Braemar will provide enhanced fitness facilities for guests, with a bigger space and natural light, making it a much more pleasant environment in which to exercise.
“At Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, not only are we dedicated to giving our guests the most enjoyable, relaxing holiday experience that we can, but we also like to consider their health and well-being by providing the very best fitness facilities to help keep them trim while they cruise with us!”

The relocation of the gym on Braemar has led to the creation of a new Arts and Crafts Room in its place on Deck 3, meaning that guests can exercise both their bodies and their minds whilst on a Fred. Olsen cruise! Guests can still enjoy a drink and entertainment in the Coral Club, Braemar Room and Morning Light Pub on Lounge Deck 5, in the Lido Bar on Lido Deck 6 and in the Observatory Lounge on Marquee Deck 8.

Regards FOCL
