WoW...this post was interesting to read through. I can not believe how many posts are about balcony issues! All my cruises have been balconies because I am a smoker and I also am up late at night (early morning) and like to have convo out on the balcony as I am watching/listening to the ocean...this is what I am paying for!!
I didn't realize how my behaviors could be affecting others...I never had a neighbor complain about my smoking or my late (early morning) convos....jeez, wonder if I offended someone and they just not say anything??
If I get to the point where I quit smoking and stop the late night convos and these issues would ruin my vacation, than I would plan accordingly....cruise on a line that did not allow balcony smoking....book a spa or other room that does not allow smoking, book an inside room
or choose something that would coincide with my lifestyle- I would not think it would be too much fun to be worried or upset if things might happen because I booked a balcony room! That would not be a fun vacation
I am very easy going and if I ever got asked to put out my cig, I would immediately oblige....Some people, I just don't get...anything to complain...life is too short~~had a lady sit down next to me in a casino while I was smoking...IN THE SMOKING SECTION and started to wave away my smoke and ask me to put it out....I kindly reminded her that they had a non-smoking section and a whole 3rd floor that was strictly non-smoking and I do not go there and complain that I can't smoke to the person sitting next to me...like what it that all about???
Sorry this is so long,...life is just too short to not speak to people politely or to not be respectful to others...if they yelled "Shut up", u would think they were able to hear the heartfelt convo and shut the door or suck it up for one night....if there was a repeat performance, then I would say to POLITELY address it... Ok, I think I am done now...
