Has anyone ever stayed in a connecting cabin and did not know the parties in the connecting cabin? Got a free upgrade to Balcony but it is a connecting. Is it very noisy?

We were recently in a connecting cabin on the Dawn - 9060. We hadn't realized that it was a connecting cabin and would not have booked it had we known. Having said that, however, it was not noisy at all. Noise-wise, it was no different than the non-connecting cabin in the same general area that we had last time we were on the Dawn. Maybe we were just lucky with the neighbors we had in the connecting cabin.

We have stayed in connecting cabins a few times including the SC 2 bedroom suite which connects to a mini suite and never knew the person next to us and never had a problem. We kept our door locked and that was that.

At least on the Dawn, the connecting cabins had heavy, wooden, double doors to muffle any sound. One was docked from the balcony cabin and the other from the Owner's Suite.
I expect if you have noisy neighbors, you'd hear them even without a connecting door. |
