Planning on doing a San Francisco-Hawaii 15 day cruise on Princess in early October. Have 4 sea days going and 4 sea days coming back. If anyone has done this cruise or the one out of LA in October, can you share what the weather was like on the sea days? Am worried it might be a bit cold.

Not sure about the weather out in the ocean but it is normally San Francisco's best weather for the year. Unusual for it not to be warm and sunny. The famous summer fog is usually gone for the season.
I'm taking the same cruise-see you there. |

Cooler, and possibly rougher first two and last two days. Warmer and smoother closer to the Islands.

We did the San Diego RT to Hawaii in March. The first couple of days are rough and cool. It gets better the closer to Hawaii you get. Not to scare you off, but the first day out of San Diego, it was VERY bumpy. The ship was rockin' and rollin'. There were barf bags at every elevator, and the doors to the outside were taped off. It also slowed the ship down, enough so that we arrived at our first port about 4 hours late. We did, however, leave 2 hours later to accomodate. On the return trip, we arrived in Ensenada about 2 hours later for the same reason. All in all, though it's a wonderful trip. Hope you will enjoy your cruise.

It will begin cool and as you sail and get closer to Hawaii it will get warmer. Odds are cold the first two days wit some rough seas. Same last two days.
