Do the Seapasses on the Carnival Victory open the room doors by swiping or tapping? I'm trying to figure out if the room doors use the magnetic stripe on the Seapass or the RFID in the card? Thanks.

Far better to ask this on the Carnival board.

And I am trying to figure out why the question of specific technology employed by the Seapass could possibly matter.

I'll admit it's a little nerdy, but I'm trying to decide if I need access to the card itself or if the card can get me into my room without coming out of my wallet or case. RFID reads right through the wallet or case. Far more convenient.

Opps, that makes sense. Can a mod move it over there?

The card inserts into the slot. No RFID technology.
