This is the first time I have heard this term. Do you mean L shaped?
If not, what is a sideway cabin?

I just returned from the Splendor on May 27 and we were in cabin 6483 L shaped cabin on the upper deck. The cabin and balcony were nice. The only complaint I have was the vibration from the ship. My hubby called it the massage bed because it felt like magic fingers all the time. Didn't have any noise from the lounge below though.
