Default Norwegian Fjords

We are off on the Boudicca to the Norwegian fjords in a few weeks (18th June). Can anyone advise on the weather we should expect, and clothes we should take?
We have not been with Fred Olsen before, any advice on the dress code would be welcome.
We have also heard that Norway is very expensive, any tips on going ashore?
Thanks

You would do better looking at the port forum, loads of advice there. My own advice would be to take layers as the weather in Norway can change many times in one day. I don't think it will be that cold, but it can be cold up in the mountains if you do a trip up there.

Everything in Norway is expensive, having been there a few times now I can confidently tell you that all food and drink is really really expensive. Tours are expensive, and shopping is really expensive too. We have not found a way around it, we just try and stick to cups of coffee. Norway is my favourite country, but the one thing that spoils it for us Brits is the expense. I love shopping but quite honestly I have not been tempted to buy anything there as it is always cheaper here. Shame really, but just one of those things. Such a spectacular country, just be aware.

I would agree with taking layers, also make sure you have raincoats. You may want to take walking shoes or boots depending on what excursions you're doing.

We went with FO mid June last year to Norway. We had mixed weather from torrential rain and wind in Bergen to hot sunshine in Amsterdam and Olden.

Fortunately, we had taked appropriate clothing, but some passengers had not. So, yes, layers are the order of the day.

Norway is very expensive, so we didn't buy anything. We also arranged all our own excusions, much cheaper than doing them with the ship.

it is abeautiful country with stunning scenery.
