No way will the 8/4 Dream be going to the Western Caribbean. I'm thinking it will be a slow trip to the Eastern Caribbean with more days at sea than in port. Doesn't matter to me as long as it is sunny!

I am on the Liberty on 8/11/12 going to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, and Grand Cayman. Do you think this will pass by then?

You have to forgive me. I know nothing about these kinds of storms. I have traveled a lot but haven't encountered much bad weather. All of our storms here in Alaska consist of snow and rain. Not really a big deal.

It should pass by the 10th as it shows on map unless it slows up. But I think you should be safe from Ernesto unless another storm forms. Hopefully you will be in the clear.

The low-pressure area that is currently off the African coast now has a 50% chance of developing into a Tropical Storm.

Thanks. So what is it like on the ship if it rains? I just can't imagine.

Well usually they will plan if it is raining or a day your not in port they have like trivia games, shows, bingo and i guess there is the casino and not really sure what else you could do. Eat more food lol I can't remember really when I had a rainy day but my whole cruise on Freedom is looking rainy now...should be interesting a day or two of sun would be nice.

That one is probably a couple weeks away and so far the projected path takes it up the eastern coast. Welcome to hurricane season.

I hope it goes away! Sailing out of Baltimore on 8/26...last year at that time Hurricane Irene hit, we were out of power, and I had to chop up a tree that fell in my driveway...I'd rather forget that experience altogether!

We leave Sunday on the Magic. Our current itinerary has us going straight into the storm. I'm hoping for a chance to Eastern Caribbean...

Probably won't know until we get to the ship.

It would be nice if they told you before so you can look at excursions in the other ports (if you plan to do excursions).

I agree! I have been searching Key West & Bahamas info, just in case. I am just imagining how many ships would be in port, though. ugh.

"Storms Storms go away come back another day"

We are leaving out of Charleston on Aug 31. It is our daughter's first cruise. I really don't want to have to deal with ruff waters and bad weather.

But one thing is for sure - WE can't control the weather. It's in Gods hands. But I'm sure doing a lot of praying.

We are leaving out on New Orleans on the 11th to Cozumel and Progreso. I have a feeling we are goingto have an interesting trip.

Any ideas on where they would reroute to?

My thoughts exactly! I'm thinking for a 5 day could they really go any further than key west or Bahamas? I have never been to either but I have never had any desire to go there. I'm also not real thrilled about being on a rocking ship. Been there done that. Lol. Oh well, I'm sure we'll enjoy ourselves regardless.
