Epic Cirque Dreams questions

So ive been searching and have a few questions


Can you see from the cheap seats or do you really need to pay $35pp?

Is the Balcony all premium seating now with the booths on the floor the cheap seats?.

Is there tables or booths for 8?

Are the seats on the balcony rail 2tops or 4 tops?

Do they assign seats prior to entrance or is it first come first serve and able to pick out actual seat location?

Anyone know the current menu?

The cheap seats now are all in the booths in the back of the lower floor. I haven't personally sat there, but people have mentioned that the view was poor and some things are hard or impossible to see.. Think of the area like this - a rounded ground floor, and a ring-like upper floor, open in the center. The action takes place in the center, both up and down, so the back booths can't always see the upper area as the upper level floor is blocking it. Saw lots of tables with around eight people, maybe more, downstairs center. Don't know how many the booths sat as I could not see them from the balcony. Upstairs balcony is a single ring of seats - like a bar that runs all around the opening to downstairs, no individual tables. Seats are not preassigned, only Premium or Standard. People start lining up early outside to choose their seats, and suite guests are escorted in by the concierge before the door opens, so they get the first pick. It might be that after the suite guests are seated, then they go to the Premium line, and then Standard gets what's left ??- I have no idea... But I know that I had to switch to Premium seating to ensure balcony seats.

Sounds like premium seats as I would never her the end of it If my GF couldnt see something

So the balcony seats are like sitting at a bar...... does it have real chairs or bar stools??
Can we maybe get 8 seats together if GF gets in line early????
How many seats upstairs ???Are there 20 seats upstairs or 75 seats?????

we paided for premium seats and they sent us up to the balcony only to be sent back down as tey were full so tey seated us at the front row of floor level seats which were great! Very up close and personal!

Upstairs probably holds 40+ people. They are regular chairs. When I sailed those were the CHEAP seats, but word got out that they were better than most, so NCL made them premium seats.

We had 11 upstairs next to each other. We just got there early, and when we entered we requested upstairs. They tried to steer us to some booths but we insisted.

During the innaugural season the seats up front downstairs were the premium seats. The balcony and rear floor seats were the lower prices. I guess word caught on how great the view from upstairs was (especially to check out George Wash-a-ton when he lies in the bathtub) and so they changed the balcony seats premium.

We had booth seating along the back and didn't feel like we had a poor view or that we were in the cheap seats. Booths accommodate six. Our family of three was paired with a couple.

How long before the show did you get inline??

One thing about the seats downstairs is that they select/draft members from the audience for participation throughout the show. I have never seen them take a volunteer from upstairs, so if you wish to participate I recommend the lower level. It seems logical to me that there are more suite guests (getting first choice on the seats) on sea days. Selecting a port day and the early show might get you into the circus tent a little earlier with your premium tickets.

We have found the food to be so/so at best, but the show is entertaining and the service is fine!

30 minutes, but keep in mind this was 2 years ago and the upper seats were the cheap seats. Things might have changed quite a bit since then. I'd look for someone with more recent experience to chime in on this.

Do you remember what they served? I think i remember reading that there was a set menu, and being a vegetarian I'm hoping they will have some options available that are non-meat. Have any fellow vegetarians been there, and if so, did you need to notify them in advance? I'm thinking our concierge will take care of this request for me. But I'd go just for the show and not eat if i had to. I can always grab something later. You'll never go hungry on a cruise!

They have a vegetarian option - you can tell the waiter. Also, I think last time was salad, chicken with potatoes, veggies, dessert. Unmemorable for okay. I would rather pay for the show and eat elsewhere because the food service is a little distracting. On the other hand, the waiters are kind of part of the experience.

That is what I remember. The food was terrible, so don't expect to have a gourmet experience. I also wish you could just see the show and not have to buy the crummy meal.

We found the food to be better than expected and thoroughly enjoyed it, although I have to say it was very distracting, trying to eat AND watch the fantastic show!! So on THAT note.....yes....I could have done without the food and would happily have paid just to see the show!!

We did Cirque on the Epic in 2010 and then again 3 weeks ago. All in our group agreed the food was much improved. Might be the same menu but it was cooked, presented, and tasted much better.

$25 for standard seating (main floor in booths along the back walks).

$35 for premium seating (main floor tables close to the action and balcony seats upstairs overlooking the action).
