To respond to those asking about NYE cruises; this will be our fifth-obviously we love them.
They are all different depending on the ship, the crew and captain and the cruise line.
A favorite was RCCL Majesty where due to weather in the Bahamas the captain brought the ship within view of the south Florida fireworks in so many towns. He was right there with the passengers and it was great!
Radiance was wonderful with a BIG baloon drop in the Centrum. Love that ship!
Another on X was filled with so many kids actually drinking when they thought no one was watching and parents not in sight; it rained.
We also have sailed on Dawn and had an incredible night on the top of the pool area looking down. We are doing that again this year
Common happenings are celebrations all over the ship; a special meal in the MDR; noise makers, horns and a sense of celebration among crew and passengers; many passengers dress for the night.
Every ship had an ice carving of the old year that goes in the pool; the new year ice carving is then presented.
The ships are still decorated or Christmas so it is always festive.
Food is also served at midnight along with champagne toasts.
We love NYE sailings so if you have questions and I can answer, let me know.
