hi

we recently visited with slighly older children (youngest 11) but they loved our tour of the island - see A&E Tours thread earlier. They loved swimming at Annandale Falls, the monkeys at Grand Etang, and seeing all the fruits etc growing wild, and the spice store demonstration - where chocolate comes from!
The beach was beautiful - all in all a fantastic day.
enjoy

I presume like all children they like chocolate so why try visiting the Grenada Chocolate Factory where you can see how chocolate is made, being able to see how it is produced from the bean to the finished bar you buy in the shop.

Not forgetting the samples they can eat!

And yes the island is very hilly (mountainous would be nearer the point) but it does make for some fabulous views.

Oooh, never knew there was a chocolate factory on Grenada.
Can anyone give me more info on it/tours to it?

Our kids would love that, and erm,... so would I ;o)

Thanks

The web site for the chocolate factory is grenadachocolate.com
I'm sure any of the tour operators would be happy to take you there.

Just had a look at the site.
The Company is a small local one which offer FREE tours to small groups!

Has anyone done the tour?
If so, does anyone know the price of the chocolate at the factory? (Seems a tad expensive to order online!)
Also, anyone any idea how much it would cost by taxi to get to the factory?

many thanks )

Yoy may think this chocolate is a bit expensive but it is much better quality/tastier than Cadburys Dairy Milk or Mars Galaxy.

Don't know how much a taxi would be but you could negotiate with one of the drivers when you arrive.
