Just another old hotel, nothing special... If you don't have a car be aware that there's nothing within walking distance of it, and it's not exactly close to the port.
You would be better off staying in South Beach if you want something on or near the beach. South Beach has everything you could want within walking distance of most hotels and is only 15 minutes from the Port of Miami.
