Default Christmas trees on the ship....

We will be cruising on NCL 12/11-12/22... Will they have Christmas decorations up? Will they put a tree up? When do the ships typically start decorating for Christmas? Thanks in advance for responses!

Although my wife and I have never sailed NCL we have sailed RCCL and they have there Christmas decorations up well before Christmas and keep them up into the beginning of January. I would assume that NCL does the same.

We enjoy sailing over the Christmas holiday season. We have not sailed on NCL so can't answer directly about that cruise line experience.

We have done it twice on RCCL and have another coming up this year. We love how they decorate and celebrate.

If you have time, take a look at our past Christmas cruises on the links below. My wife did a fantastic job capturing the Christmas spirit we experienced on our past sailings.

I know it's a bit early but, Merry Christmas!

Sailed on NCL the second week of December for the past two years. There were Christmas decorations everywhere.
The crew of the Pearl even sang Christmas songs in the Garden Cafe on the last morning of our cruise.

Our first cruise was on NCL's Seaward in December 1989. They had the decorations up then. We've done several other non-Christmas December cruises on Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Princess. I think all of the cruise lines start decorating the cruise after Thanksgiving if possible.

yes they should have them up, you may find they are not there on the day you board but appear overnight and grow as the cruise goes on - all adds to the fun

Default NCL Jewel

Hi,
we sailed the first week of December last year.

They had several decorated trees and they had a awesome gingerbread village set up. It had a waterfall, train and lots of little surprises in it.

I was really impressed by the decorations I felt there were enough to make it festive without going over the top,

We were on NCL Dawn from Dec 14 through Dec 25th. Many decorations were up when we boarded, but they added many more during the cruise.

Here are some of the decorations we were able to enjoy:

Wreaths in the MDR

Snowman and gingerbread village in lido buffet :

Lights and trees in atrium

Gingerbread village and train in atrium:

Does anyone know if the decals that stick on windows will stick to the cabin doors, would like to use some over Christmas. Also have some battery operated lights can we use them on the balony and in the room? Thanks for any replies.

If there aren't decorations, you could still have her wear a Santa hat or something. A lot of people use ships photos for their Xmas cards.

That's a great idea. Lots of passengers wear festive hats, etc.

We always take a Santa hat with us and take a picture of my little one at the beach with the hat.

I also did this on our last Christmas cruise...made a sandman (instead of a snowman).

We always have a great time. Christmas time just gives us that little extra something to do with our pictures. (That reminds me I need to go find my Santa hat for this upcoming Christmas cruise. I think this time I may take a few little decorations for the room too).
