Cool ***Pride of America Photos form Boston***

I am just back from Boston. Here are the Pride of America Photos. I was pleasantly surprised by the ship in person. Hopefully the moderator can make this a sticky post so it can be here for those on the ship not when they come back.

Thanks for the photos. I tried my best to win the trip on Regis and Kelly, but they never called! I'm sure it was a wonderful site seeing her come into Boston Harbor. Thanks again!

Cool

yeah it surprised me in person. I had always been an advocate of the uglyness of the ship. But I don't think that way anymore. It isn't the best looking thing, but it doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought. It was neet I drove th boat pretty close to it. I first heard in th VHF radio of the USCG call it. That was neat.

The ship is "growing" on me as well. While I still don't think she will ever win any beauty contests, I am starting to find some redeeming aspects the more I study her. All it would take is a longer and more pronounced bow, and the ship would look 100 times better.

GregD, my feelings about her also changed after seeing her in person today. True, she's far from the prettiest ship I've ever seen, but there's something about seeing her in motion that makes the "ugly" disappear.

Of course, seeing photos of her alongside my beloved SS Norway likely clouded my views a bit.

You said you saw it today. Where were you? And did you see where it actualy docked? I think it was at where the JFK docks.

The ship looks better in your pics than in the others I saw. I only wish I could have seen it in person. Thanks for the pics

Greg, I watched her come in from my office window. A good excuse to go into the office on a Sunday.

I didn't see where she docked as our view of the piers is blocked by other office buildings. It did look like she was heading in the same direction as where the USS JFK docked a few weeks ago. We watched that from our office windows, too.

Great pics, thanks for sharing! I watched her sail from NYC on the Empire State Building webcam. What a neat site! Hard as I tried, I couldn't see Regis or Kelly anywhere!

I thought forsure she would dock with the Majesty at Black Falcon. I guess they used the JFK dock for the view of downtown boston.

I have been watching the news lately to see the Pride of America. One day we hope to cruise this ship. Maybe next year or the year after.
