Gangway open time for pax on DIY tours at Civitaveccia?

Sure this will have been asked before so apologies for repeated question in advance. Am on Regal Princess soon and port arrival time is given as 0700. Anyone know when they are likely to be letting passengers walk off for those who are arranging their own tours?

It may depend on where you are coming from. Depending on that, it may be necessary for local authorities to check the ships papers. If not, you should be able to get off as soon as the ship is tied up. Best guess would be 7:15 or 7:30am

Exactly. It'll depend on whether the ship's last port was a Schengen Agreement country or not. If you don't know what the Schengen Agreement is, Google it. If you last port was in a Schengen Agreement country, you'll be able to disembark as soon as the ship is cleared. If it wasn't, you'll have to go through Immigration and Customs.

You just never know. I have seen it take 15 minutes but also an hour.

Thanks all. Previous port is another Italian one (Livirno) so hopefully that should expedite matters.

In our experience of sailing to each several times Livorno is usually a little faster unless there are a few other ships in. ;)
