Where is the Splendour this coming week????
I have looked at the RCI site, and at different cruise sites and can't find the repositioning of the Splendour. Does anyone know??? The next group I have found is the May 15th group out of Barcelona! Just wondered if they might be working on her vibration?!  HOPE!!!?

The Splendour starts her repositioning cruise today (May1) and arrives in Barcelona on May 14. I saw the itinerary on one of the travel booking sites (*************, I think?). Sure hope they take good care of her across the ocean because we're ready for our cruise in 2 weeks!

FanC, that cruise wasn't listed anymore and wasn't on the RCI website either. Actually, I think it'd be great if they were doing some fine tuning before we all take her out of Barcelona! Hardly see any posts on Splendour these days other than roll calls!  I'm excited for your upcoming trip!!!!!!

brn2crz, thanks so much! I ran to get my husband and by the time he got in here(too much to do on the weekends! ), it's dark in Galveston!!!! I guess the next time I see her, she'll be in Europe.

I don't know about fine tuning unless you count new matresses as such. Yes I saw tan covered matresses being removed this morning. Now how many were replaced will have to be addressed by someone in the know, but I saw many pallets being emptied of new plastic covered blue matresses that were being taken aboard.

Cardor, that is the BEST news yet!!! That was one of my concerns (for my parents, especially!). I just found it strange that there were NO CC's on board!!!

Actually on deck 8 (8015?) I saw an interior stateroom door stating "Cruise Critic onboard" but didn't stop by as we were busy with two other couples on their first cruise.

It was the Splendour if your refering to my post above, 4 cruisers. I was answering "I just found it strange that there were NO CC's on board". Sorry for the confusing answer.

Cardor, too funny! I'm sorry I wasn't too clear on either post! I meant that I hadn't found anyone from CC on the re-positioning cruise. Then in the next post, I was referring to the fun web-cam picture. Just wondering if that was the Splendour still in port. Must have been one too many margaritas last night!

Thanks for thinking of me!  We did get in the middle of the horrific thunderstorm/tornado warnings upon our return from Galveston. Eventually, pulled into a parking lot on feeder street until rain lessened.
To others on the thread: I will post later on in the week. Do not worry about Splendour's condition!! it was excellent! -- chrome was shining--brass gleaming--our cabin had been completely refurbished ... including cabinetry refinishing, bedspreads, upholstery, balcony texturing... Splendour was leaving (May 1) for Key West ... to head to Barcelona. I am very regretful that I didn't book that trip!
I cannot answer any questions now ... sorry, have to exit CC board ... many tasks (remodeling at house) to do before work this week. I'll check in towards the end of the week.
