French Onion Soup on Carnival

We have not cruised Carnival in a long, long time, but "The Point" steakhouse on the Conquest had the BEST French Onion soup I have ever had. Both hubby and I loved it.

With Princess leaving Houston, can see a few "drive to Galveston" Carnival possibilities in our future. Does anyone know if they still serve the same, outstanding onion soup in the specialty places onboard the current ships????

Thanks much!

Stand by for dumb question:

Anyone know if any of the lines makes a non-meat-stock vegetarian version of French onion soup? DW (lacto-ovo veg) loves it but will not eat meat-based foods, so she finds most French onion soups barred to her:(.
