Wondering what size waves you have encountered on the WONDER during your cruise, and what month you where on board? Anything dicey?

It's always been as flat as day-old beer but I've only cruised during hurricane season.
The only time that we've felt waves is on my last cruise on the last night as we went through the Gulf Stream northward. Quote:

On Monday 9/19 we were skirting Tropical Depression which later became Rita. We had 12-20 foot waves. We were in Diversions watching the football game and looked out the porthole on deck 3. At times, we were almost even with the water, and other times we looked down a story or two. It was very interesting. My DH went to deck 10 at midnight and said he felt spray from the sea on his face. Good thing we don't get sea sick!

All 4 times on the wonder was smooth as could be, we went in January and May and December twice.
Our only rough seas was on the Eastern on the magic in March 2 years ago. We had 30 foot swells and 65 MPH winds across the deck. We were really rockin and rollin that night. Only one other couple in the club with us that night and the dining room seemed half empty. We loved it, but i did feel sorry for all of those who got sick, which was a lot of them. We learned after we got back that the stabilizers wernt working right or it wouldnt of been so bad. mom x4,grandma x4 |
