Default Ramada Plaza in Ft Lauderdale?

We are staying in FLL for 2 days prior to our cruise out of Miami - looking for a beach hotel, for around $100/night. Ramada looked interesting....Does anyone have any experience with this one, or suggestions for something better?

If this is the one on Galt Ocean Drive, I have stayed there a couple of times. While it is on the beach, it is far removed from the action. But the pool and beach area are very nice. The hotel itself is nothing special, think typical Ramada, but valet parking is cheap, like $6/day, and if you are middle aged, there is a bar in the lobby that caters to you. You won't be in the lap of luxury, but your stay should be very satisfactory.

joric - That place is no where near Fort Lauderdale and you didn't finish your statement... "South Beach's restaurants and nightclubs are..." A LONG EXPENSIVE CAB RIDE AWAY
If it floats I've probably been on it...
