Just a quick review of what I and DH thought were the good and bad.

Good:

Fast boarding, ten minutes from airport to ship cost approx. $12 to $13

Twenty minutes from Taxi to stateroom.

Accessible stateroom w/balcony, very large cabin, large bathroom, plenty of space to move around in wheelchair for DH, plus accessible balcony.

Ship is very very large but never seems really crowded, lots of pools, clubs and restaurants. Lots of entertainment, (not great entertainment, but plenty of it). Really enjoyed the International Crew show and Kimiko.

Staff very friendly and helpful, always saying HI and if everything is okay.

Speciality restaurants excellant. Dinner in Palm Dining Room Excellant.

Ship and cabins well maintained and clean.

Enjoyed a tour of St. Thomas.

Enjoyed shipping in St. Maartin. Twenty minute walk to downtown.

DH was able to take his power chair to Princess Cays, the staff just lifted it on the tender, nice tile walkways on the island.

Really enjoyed Princess Cays and all we did was walk around and eat at the

Bar-b-que. It was so beautiful.

Bad:

Breakfast and lunch in buffet and dinning room, not so great, food cold.

Long walk to buffet for ice tea, water and coffee from Neptune's pool area.

Ramps for wheelchairs in doorways very rough, my DH is in electric chair, he said it was like riding a bucking bronco over the ramps, people in manuel chairs had a rough time.

I've been trying to figure out what is wrong with us, we didn't think Bert was all that wonderful. He was entertaining for a little while but it got old fast.

Suggestions:

Enjoy the beautiful ship.

Enjoy the speciality restaurants.

Check out the speciality acts, comics, crew show, guest entertainers.

Enjoy seafood, Sat, Sun, Sea Food at Carib Cafe, Thursday Lobster in dinning rooms, Lobster in Italian restaurant.

At Princess Cays there are plenty of lounge chairs, I would suggest going all the way to your left, down where they have the BBQ, covered picnic tables, shaded lounges, snorkeling and of course beach all the way.

If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer.

You can add me to the list too. I didn't like Bert at all. One of the girls we went with loved him tho. She went everynight and bought all his CD's. I had heard so much about him, I tried to like him, I just couldn't. He made me nervous with the faces he makes all the time. Otherwise the cruise was great. We were on the Oct 1 thru 8th cruise that rained almost everyday so we are going back on it next year to do all the things that got cancelled this time.

GRAMSK (or any other person who knows):

Does the Caribbean Princess offer "express walk-off" to passengers who have no checked luggage and who can carry/pull all their luggage with them as they leave the ship on the last morning? THANKS!
