Elation Nov. 28, Progreso review

Progreso. I had heard this was not a great port of call but our group was “elated”! The bus drops you off in town, right at a square filled with vendors. We found bargains aplenty! Beautiful necklaces from $2.00 to $10.00. Shady brady cowboy hats, $4.00, tee shirts, 5 for $20.00. Double hammocks, $30.00. We then walked across the street to the Pharmacy were I bought all the Retin A they had in stock for…..$10.00 at tube! WOW, half price of Cozumel!

We marveled at the sight at the meat market across the street! Raw chickens hanging up on a line. Men hacking up fish on a table.

We walked down the block to view Corona Beach and I spotted wonderful Mexican Talavera Sinks for $45.00. Sure wish we had measured our bathroom sink before we left home.

The people were so polite and eager to bargain with.

I must admit I was a little bit nervous on the ride to and from the ship. 6 miles on a long bridge with no side rails!
