Default Noordam Dining Room

Hoping that someone here might have a layout of the dining room on the Noordam. I can not remember the table number that we usually request and can't seem to find the diagram used for the Vista class ships. If anyone has access to this I would appreciate it if you would post it. Thanks in advance.

The layout is on the HAL site - look for the deckplans.

Since the ship isnt out yet - we cant be certain, but I'd bet that the layout is exactly the same as the other Vista ships.

Default table sizes for dining for large group

Has anyone ever requested a large table setup. We are a group of 14 and in the past we had to always do two tables. Is it possible to request a large table setup for this many such that we can dine together?

Nope - the dining room tables are fixed in place to the floor

Even if it was possible, which I'm sure it is not, conversation at a table for 14 would be impossible. Adjacent tables for 6 and for 8 would provide a MUCH better opportunity for conversation among the group and you can always switch around on who sits where to visit with all your party at meals.

There was adjacent rectangular table for 6 and a round one for 8 next to us on the Volendam, all one group, and they had a great time conversing every meal and it was much more 'dining together' than a table for 14 would be.

At times we have traveled with a group of 11 or 12 friends. We made prints of prior travel pictures showing each member of the group (alone, not a group photo). Each dinner someone would ditribute the photos at each table place setting, so that the tables would always be rotating and everyone could mix. If any were adverse to being separated (say from a spouse) their pictures were clipped together so they would be seated together. That worked well for us and seemed a fair way to arrange things.
