? 'bout panning for gold in Juneau
Do the tour operators provide galoshes or waders to those panning at Gold Creek or is time for me to invest in some rubber boots?

We did this tour independently in 2002 and no one had boots, other than our own hiking boots. I don't think you need them -- you just stand on the bank. "Miner Mike" did have waders on and I am sure he'd be happy to scoop up stuff from the middle if you wanted.
