Talking Larger Balcony Cabins - Secretive!

I'm sailing the Carnival Pride March 26th 2006. Cruise Critic's review points out a handful of cabins...

6232, 6234 and 6281 on Empress Deck, 7258, 7260 and 7303 on Veranda Deck, and 8232, 8234 and 8309 on Panorama Deck.

Has anyone stayed in one of the above cabins?

Cruise Critic states the balconies of these cabins are a bit bigger because of the ships design. Can anyone confirm that for me or offer a pointer? Please reply!

We were booked in 6232 on the Spirit last Dec. Right before finally payment was due, they upgraded us to a Cat. 11-without asking! So, I can't tell you from experience in staying in the cabin, but I did see the length of balcony from the oustide of the ship and it was huge! I have never seen a negative post about any of these cabins! If you get a chance to stay in a minsuite, go for it. Our family of 4 loved it! Happy cruising!

We were on the Carnival Legend which is a sister ship to the Pride. We booked room 8232 in May of 2004 and booked the same room again in May 2005.The balcony is amazing-it is 3 times as long as a regular extended balcony.I know because I was on the regular extended balcony next to us and the people kept asking us "is your room a suite? We had 2 loungers,2 chairs,a table and still had a whole another section that was the size of a regular balcony. A great room and balcony,I wouldn't book any other on a Spirit class ship!

the 6232 is for 4 people. Most sailings you will need 4 people in order to book the cabin. In slower months you can book the cabin for 2.

the 6234 and the one across the hall and above it are for handicapped people. There are no sofa. the bathroom is nice to accomadate a wheel chair/ the vanity is lower.

Wink Sofa?

Do any of these rooms have a sofa on the spirit? If so, which ones? Thanks

Default pride cabin 8234

My DH and I were in cabin 8234. The balcony was great. There were 3 things we didn't like about the cabin. The shower set-up was a Handicapp cabin which made the bathroom floor totally flat. When someone was using the toilet or sink and someone was in the shower the water from the shower would be under your feet. There was a long drain by the door that all the water was trying to get to. Also the balcony door had a large ramp on the outside for a wheelchair. We tried to move it to the other side of the balcony but it still used some space up. There was a small table with 2 chairs instead of a couch. That was no big deal. If I remember correctly I think there was less closet space. I probably would not book the cabin again because of the bathroom set-up unless we had a wheelchair.
