Try City View. It's at 662 Commercial St. It's traditional Hong Kong style.

Last year I was there & 5 of us was $105. for lunch. I was told that was reasonable for SF.

ell52....

by any chance would you know where to find Jimmy's beef jerky? It's been a few years since I could find it in Chgo of SF. I'll be in Vancouver in Sept, so I thought I'd stock up on it.

Thanks

sodell, thanks for the info on City View.

As for Jimmy's beef jerky, I haven't had any in awhile, but think you'd find it at any Chinese or Asian market. I know for sure that most places carry Jimmy's Chinese sausages. Will take a look for the beef jerky and let you know.

Ell52... the funny thing here... I'll be in Vancouver 9-26 for the NCL Sun repo to LA. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for the info.... It would be great if you found it. Hadn't had it for a few years, I grew up on it, so I think all jerky should taste like Jimmy's.

Kitsey, there's a restaurant south of Pier 35 on the Embarcadero called "Waterfront." It's not too far from Fisherman's Wharf and not "touristy," as those right at Fisherman's Wharf are.

NCL Star - 5/8/05

RCI Monarch of the Seas - 1/17/05

NCL Sun - 4/27/04

Finally got through to their office in Vancouver and was told they stopped production last month and are closing their business! Sorry.

I'm told one of the most popular brands here is Soo's - so you might want to try it.

I can't believe it!!! I grew up on the stuff & nothing else taste the same. ( Maybe I can find it in some dusty old corner grocery store. The stuff will last forever.

Thanks a bunch for checking. I really appreciate the time you took from your busy day.

I guess Soo's is it.

It is a little shoebox of a place wedged between Aliotos and Fishermans Grotto number 9. There is no view to speak of but they have their own fishingboats and the food is very very good.
