The SLAMO Virtual Cruise
Welcome to the official home of the LMAO (Laughter & Mirth Are Onboard) Virtual Cruise.
This virtual cruise was the brain child of several of the more twisted folks that are usually found on the Celebrity Board. We all felt we needed a virtual fantasy cruise where we could let our hair (and our avatars) down & just get silly. You are more then welcome to join us. The only requirement is that you have a GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR and don't take anything TOO SERIOUSLY!!! You will find that your hosts are firmly entrenched in the 6 royal suites aboard the LMAO. But Cloud9, Impulsive Puppy, L11, NewtoCC, EmptyNest1 & flyfan are sure to prove to warm and loving hosts, albeit ones who tend to find humor in absolutely everything. So, pack your bags & hop aboard. We will be departing soon. If you don't have your frequent cruiser card, please feel free to come aboard without it. We promise to afford you the same level of upgrades and perks by those who have sailed with us countless of times. Our itinerary will be Transatlantic-Caribbean-Panama Canal-Mexican Riviera-Hawaii-Alaska & if we are having enough fun we may just reverse the itinerary and do it all over again. And if you have to take a week or 2 off to take a 'real' cruise it's okay. We'll save your suite for you. Until we sail....

The above post was originally seen on the 'old' Cruise Critic boards. It was posted on December 9, 2002. What ensued over the next 20,000 posts was a virtual cruise that sailed not only around the world, but to the heavens and beyond. Our passengers have changed over time, some staying only for a short stint, others staying 'firmly entrenched' in their royal suites the entire cruise.
We've been through lots together in our journey. Marriages, more then a few sicknesses, countless not-so-virtual cruises, car wrecks and new cars, a few of the greatest real world get-togethers, the births of several new cruisers, and sadly even deaths. Through it all, this has been a safe place to vent, rant, sob, pray, get kisses, and most importantly, to laugh. We invite you to join us on the SLAMO, Still Laughter And Mirth Onboard. Lurk for awhile until you feel comfortable, or just jump right in feet first. We don't know where we are headed, or how long it will take us to get there, but there is one certainty -- it will be a fun journey.

WAAAIIIIITTTTTT!!!!!!!The figure yelled as she ran down the pier as the ship slowly pushed away from the dock. She could see the passengers up on the Lido Deck cheering her ( or was that jeering...) on as she made a flying leap and landed in the open doorway where the gangway had been.......
Permission to come aboard??!! I forgot to reload AIM when my system died last week and I had to reload everything.... I load now if someone will send me an invite??
