Best Piano Entertainer on Carnival?

I have found Bert Stratton to be the best entertainer on the Caribbean Princess ship but what about Carnival ships? Anyone found anyone good?

We were on the Legend the week of 5/20 and Mark in the Piano Bar was lots of fun and a very good entertainer. Although he is on leave now and may not return to the Legend but another lucky Carnival ship will latch on to him I'm sure.:p

I've only been on one cruise so far, but the guy with the guitar on the Sensation was sensational! He was positioned right outside the casino in front of the bar. I can't remember his name, but we bought him a lot of corona's. =)

Did Mark used to be on the Triumph? We went on the Triumph in April of 04 and the Piano guy was Fantastic. We always spent a couple of hours a night in the Piano Bar because we just had such a great time.

Damian Brell from New Zealand. Although, I forget which ship he is currently on.

D

Damien was on the Conquest in December but was leaving Carnival to go work on a rock opera. I haven't heard that he has returned. I was a little disappointed in him, after the rave reviews I had read, but the 20-something's in our group spent every second he was performing in there.

I was on the Elation in 2004 and I can honestly say Damien from New Zealand was awesome. We spent every night in the piano bar due to his entertainment. Yes he does usually play to a younger crowd as far as songs you can sing along with but isn't that what you do in a piano bar. One night he was suppose to do classical and showtunes til half the bar got up to leave then he changed back to his normal music. Thank goodness. We all got to know so well we were buying him drinkls and he was buying us drinks. That is what I call someone who enjoys their job.LOL

Whoever is on the Conquest right now is not good. We were on the Conquest last week and I have never seen such low energy in a piano bar on Carnival. The entertainer did nothing to get the crowd going.

Well I have never seen a piano player that was so entertaining as Bert Stratton was on the Princess ship. He really drew a crowd that wouldn't leave once they started listening to him. He not only sang, played but entertained and insisted the audience participate.

He played music for age groups as low as 30's - mostly oldies.

That is what I was wondering if anyone is close to what he does on the Carnival line. I really prefer Carnival over Princess which is why I'm asking.

That's pretty much what any good piano bar entertainer will do, get the crowd involved.

I've only been on one cruise so far, the Inspiration in July 2003 and Darin MacDonald (from New Zealand) was terrific. Very entertaining and engaging.

From what I've read, I'm really looking forward to Ron Pass on the Valor in just over 3 weeks!

Anyone have an idea about who is on the Victory right now. I am set to sail on the 26th of June and hoping for a good time. I was on the Triumph last year and it was the lowest energy/turnout I have every seen in the piano bar.

Ron Pass for sure. Still listen to his CD all the time. Excellent all around, and very personable. My cruise on the Glory last week had Lorainne (I think?) from Canada. She was good for an older, more serious crowd and didn't play to a younger more partied crowd. (Which is what I am!) She was good for the crowd she catered too though.

Damian from New Zealand was AWESOME!!!!! I was on the Triumph two weeks ago and most of the crowd in the piano bar were 40 plus...he had the place hopping. He's currently writing a rock opera and sang a few songs from the opera on the last night. I don't remember the time frame but he'll be moving to the Conquest soon. I hope you all go see him and enjoy.
