Back from AOS June25-July 2 cruise

Recommended Posts

All i can say it was wonderful !! We had a blast on our cruise (it was my husband's first cruise ever ) and met a lot of people. I'm not one to really sit down and tell you all what to do etc.. But the two things we did was Silvermoon in Barbados ( highly recommend it) St. Lucia with were with Cosol Tours (AMAZING) I booked those a month in advance before we went our cruise. The other islands we shopped, drank, we to the beach. To be honest we didn't really seem to enjoy Antigua (maybe because it was pouring the whole time, but besides the 365 beaches there it's not wonderful. If like history and are into seeing the culture, and experience the history of the island, then hey you will love it.:) St.Luica and St. Maarten were our favorites of them all. RCCL was awesome, the staff were so nice. I just wish there was an ALL chocolate buffet !! ha ha he he

We spoke to a lot of people who booked eexcursions thru RCCL and weren't has happy or enjoyed their adventures as much as we did, plus they cost like $25 more on th same darn we did? Anyways, Enjoy and RELAX !!!

RDH

Which route did you do? We are sailing in a little over 3 weeks now - our 1st day is a sea day, last day is St. Thomas.

We are booked for the Silvermoon in Barbados, with all the raving everyone has done over it it was impossible not to book! ;)

We are also booked with Herrod in St. Lucia - have heard equally wonderful things about him as much as Cosol.

If there was one thing you wished you had done differently what would it be?

Did you have a pre-stay in San Juan? If so, what hotel did you stay at?

Thanks!

:D Hey there

We did go the day before to just hang out and relax in PR, We always stay at the Wyndham El San Juan Hotel & Casino (787)791-1000. It was nice not to worry about if our plane is delayed or if there's bad weather and we can't get there before departing. See even though they leave at 10 PM, they want EVERYONE on board by 8 PM, unless there's an issue and someone has called RCCL. This hotel is like 2 mins from the airport and like 10 mins from the Pier of the boat.

There was 2 formal nights and our travel itinerary was changed, so once i booked my own excursions I had to deal with mess (see all of the excursions are aware of when our boat comes in and leaves, but since this was first time RCCL changed it and didn't really tell them the new dates. It was hard to explain to the barbados person that we were going to be arriving there first instead being last. Yikes:D

IF I had to do something differently I would say get on the Red Hook Ferry to St. John's instead of wasting our time in St. Thomas. My husband and I were very upset that we just didn't go with our friends we met. St. Thomas is way to American now with everything including prices of everything have gone up. Food was bad. The beaches are not as nice as they used to be in past. Everyone was raving about St. John's we met.
