Default alaska cruise cruise from seattle question

I'm thinking about taking a NCL cruise to alaska from seattle.
I was wondering a few things. When I fly into seattle a day before where should I stay? Is there a shuttle I can take to the dock? Or do I need to take a cab? How far away is the port?

There are a ton of good hotels downtown, you can take your pic there. Unless you stay at the Marriott or the Edgewater, both on the waterfront, AND your ship leaves from Pier 66, then you'll need a cab to the docks. It won't be a very expensive cab ride for you though. The airport is about 20 minutes from downtown, so you'll either want a hotel that shuttles you, or take a cab from the airport.

NCL the past few years has sailed out of Pier 66, the hotels that are within walking distance or a stones throw are the Seattle Waterfront Marriott or the Edgewater Inn. You will have to get transportation from the airport to the hotel, there are a number of options:

Shuttle Express
Limo
Airporter Bus
Taxi

I have not heard of any hotel in the dt Seattle area that offers shuttle service to or from the airport, it is about a $30 taxi ride.

There are many other hotels that you can stay at and you could walk to Pier 66, but it would be a pain to have to lug your luggage especially if you pack like me .

Default Edgewater

My husband and I have stayed at the Edgewater before - not for cruising, just for fun. It's a beautiful hotel, literally built on stilts above the water! If you book a balcony room (can be very pricey depending on the time of year), you can watch cruise ships travel to/from the pier. The Edgewater is on Pier 67, and many of the cruise ships use Pier 66, so you'd be right next door. It might be worth the extra money for the Edgewater just to be so close and convenient... Have fun!
