How do we post our first message?

We are brand new to this web site and would like to know how to post our first question regarding others going on an Oceania cruise 11/07 that may be interested in sharing on-shore transportation/touring not purchased via Oceania?

Thank you for your post concerning transportation/tour shares. However, you have posted on the forum where members find the "How to ..." type of information for using Cruise Critic's software with avatars, signatures, countdown clocks or tickers, attaching pictures, etc. It is not the place for your type of post and the information you seek is off topic here.

I hope you don't mind a friendly suggestion, but you need to read Community Guidelines and FAQ. Especially the "Getting Started" section in FAQ. That's where you will see how a new topic should be consistent with the specific forum you choose to start a thread. It also gives a brief summary of the topics covered in some of the forum sections. Click here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/index.php for the list of all the Cruise Critic forums and be sure to read all Announcement and Sticky threads at the top of the various forums for additional information too.

Please note in Community Guidelines Cruise Critic does not allow "advertisements" of any kind in posts or signatures. This would include personal ads looking for transportation, tour or cabin shares. Posts of this nature are removed from all forums... with one exception. The Roll Call for your ship and sail date.

The first step to locate your Roll Call would be to click here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=420. Click on your ship's name. Scroll through the pages of threads looking for your sail date in the title. Click on it. Read through the Roll Call thread to get to know your fellow Roll Call members. Who knows? There may be one of the Roll Call members looking for a share too! Post a reply on the thread with a little bit of information about yourself. That's the only place on Cruise Critic where you can ask if anyone is willing to share. You are targeting the specific group of people who would be most inclined to share since they are already sailing on your cruise.

Please remember, do not start a new Roll Call thread for your share request as it will be removed from the board without notice. Locate the existing Roll Call thread to make your inquiry regarding shares.
