Dawn: Children's Menu's?

I've seen it mentioned here that there is a children's buffet in one of the main dining areas. What types of food are on this buffet? Also, do any of the other dining areas or specialty restaurants have children's menus or meals that cater to their tastes?

There is a charming kid's buffet area in the Garden Cafe. It has pint sized tables and chairs and a small buffet with kid's food like hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken nuggets and french fries. Of course, kids can also pick from the adult's buffet.

The childrens menu is the same for all of the restaurants. It's pretty standard kids menu fare.

On our April 18th Dawn cruise, all the restaurants we went to, including Le Bistro and Cagney's had the Children's menu available, and no extra charge in the specialty restaurants. However, I recently posted that experience, and a subsequent cruiser was told they had to pay, so their child ate off the regular menu. I will try to check up on that via NCL.

All main dining restaurants on the Dawn, including all the specialty restaurants have the exact same children's menu, which is FREE in every restaurant.

The food on the children's menu comes from the same location, the main galley in the the ship. If you order from it, the waiter will always put in that order first, because it takes a little longer to get depending on where you are eating.

We just came back from the Dawn on 6/20 and the kids menu was free in all speciality restaurants.

This is the menu as of 6/20:

Choose a juice - orange, apple, lemonade

Souper Douper Noodle Soup - nothing green chicken noodle only

How Now Ground Round Cow - hamburger or cheeseburger with ranch fries

Ahoy Matey! - Hot Dog with battered Fries & things

Crispy Fried Onion Rings

Itza, Pizza! - Cheese or Pepperoni or as you like it

No, I want a peanut butter & jelly sandwich!

Lotsa Pastabilities - spaghetti plain or with cheese or with meat sauce

Captain Kidd's Favorite - grilled cheese with curly fries

Jurassic Dino Dudes - breaded chicken patties in disguise with fries

Icy Island Treats - chocolate, vanilla, strawberry ice cream pineapple, coconut, lime sherbert or lemon jello

Pina Colad Ice Cream Coupe - ask for the frozen yogurt of the day

Jolly Rogers Fruit Medley - chunks of fresh fruit

Never Say Salad Again - crisp iceberg lettuce with oranges ask your server for choice of dressings

Same children's menu from the Pride of Aloha!

Don't know about serving in the specialty restaurant though - we didn't take the 6 children traveling with us to the SR. We preserved that area for special adult dining!
