Default Las Hadas or Audiencia Beach?

Which do you recommend? We will do one of these when we stop in Manzanillo in March. Pros and cons of each?

Las Hadas costs $30 per person, although you do get $30 in coupons to spend at the resort.

La Audencia is free - you can rent beach chairs, buy food at the restaurant, use the bathroom, rent jet ski's etc.

Both beaches are beautiful and the cab ride will be the same price since they are in the same neighborhood and about 20-30 minutes frm the ship.

Default I choose Las Hadas!!

We have been there twice and absolutely love it. The grounds are beautiful, the people are nice and it is a truly relaxing experience. My favorite resort by far (we cruise the mexican riviera several times a year).

When you arrive at Las Hadas, were is it that you check in for the day use of the resort? And what can you spend the $30 on at the resort(food, beverages, water sports)? I was looking at this excursion on the Carnival web site and it was a lot more money to go with them. My DH would rather just go straight to the resort from the ship, but I am a little nervous about that. I much rather do ship sponsored excursions, but for only $30 I think this is probably the way to go. Thanks for any info.

When the cab gets to the Las Hadas front gate, they don't let you in until you pay the $30 per person. You can spend the $30 on anything you want - you get 15 coupons worth $2.50 each, so you can divide them up any way you want to - food, drinks, beach towels, beach chairs, etc.

It's a lot cheaper to do Las Hadas on your own, and it isn't difficult to do.

RSF Cruiser -

Las Hadas sounds the best, but can you rent snorkeling equipment or jet skis there? I heard it's more quiet than Audiencia where you can find the watersports, but tend to be in a more active atmosphere.

We didn't stay at Las Hadas so I don't know. I bet if you check their web site you can probably find out.

La Audencia is crowded near the shops and restaurant. There were hardly any people in front of Tesoro and further down the beach. We sat all by ourselves in front of Tesoro and pretended we were on our very own private beach.

Las Hadas has a magical feel about it.--The people are very friendly, the grounds are beautiful and the buildings unlike anything else in Mexico.--You can use the restaurant facilities just as if you are a guest at the resort--it makes for a memorable day

We are in the process of purchasing a home in Manzanillo and have been busy checking out the beaches. I'm attaching a photo of LaAudencia and Las Hadas. You really can't go wrong at either one, though Las Hadas has many more amenities.
The photo on the left is a view of LaAudiencia form our balcony, the other is a shot of the grounds of Las Hadas. CLick on them to enlarge. Let me know f you want more photos or information.
