We went with Coral Breeze Limited in Belize in April of 2006. We went on the Shark Ray Snorkeling and Caye Caulker Exploration. It was a long boat ride...the snorkeling was good... a little rough but not bad. The sharks and rays were amazing. Our favorite place to snorkel was at Tabayana Beach in Roatan.

We are also sailing the Grand 3/31 and are booked with Coral Breeze for the Shark/Ray snorkeling trip to Caulker Caye. I've read good reveiws about them. We are spending the day in Roatan on Tabyana Beach and I've heard there is good snorkeling there too. Not sure about equipment rentals at Tabyana, need to check that out.

Default Belize

It is a long boat ride to get to the snorkeling in Belize from where the ship will anchor....for a change, we did an excursion to the Mayan ruins at Lamanai....it was amazing....a bus ride, followed by a speed boat ride and then arrival at Lamanai and greetings by the howler monkeys and tucans....a nice change....as for Tabyana Beach in Roatan, the snorkeling there is the BEST......about 50 feet from the beach....we always love our snorkel day at Tabyana...be sure to bring an underwater camera!!!

We will be going to shark ray alley in april. Can't wait to swim with the sharks! Are there lots of them? How timid are they? How close can you get?

They are everywhere........you can even hold some of the smaller ones. You can swim with them easily. It is a pretty cool experience. You will not forget it.
