My wife and I will be sailing the Crown out of Baltimore in October. Does anyone know of a nice hotel close to the Port? Thanks for your responses.
Fred

I'm not sure where the port is that you'll be leaving from but the Admiral Fell Inn at the Inner Harbor is very nice. I am not from Baltimore so really can't answer any other questions. My family stayed here once when visiting.

Honestly, there are no hotels "close" to the port... it is kinda out of the way. From downtown Baltimore (where there are tons of hotels) it is about 15 mins or so to the port. Downtown (at the World Famous Inner Harbor) you will find all the major chains, Hyatt, Marriott, Rennaissance, Sheraton etc.
Sadly Baltimore does not (currently) have a nice cruise port, it is very near our extensive shipping areas. Hopefully as Baltimore becomes more popular they may build a nicer embarkation port further up the Harbor (closer to downtown) but no solid plans yet. ~Intrepid <-- I'm from Baltimore HON!

Hi Kim and Intrepid. Thanks for your help. 15 minutes from the port isn't too bad. We'll probably take your advice and stay in one of the Major hotels.
Thanks again Fred

I would try using one of the big online travel sites (ex..expedia, etc) to do a search for hotel close to the pier. They do have that ability, and will give distances. Also...www.mpa.state.md.us has quite alot of info about the port of Baltimore. It seems that all NCL cruises leave from the South Point Marine Terminal. I hope this helps...someone else on these boards supplied me with the info, and it gave info that NCL doesn't mention (like $10 day/parking fee).
