Rivera Maya and Rx's

Hi there, we are going to spend a week at The Grand Oasis Rivera Maya in a few months and I was wondering if they have the same perscription policy as Cozumel and Belize. I like getting a few z paks to keep on hand for our travels and my son's inhaler was so much cheaper in Belize. So do I have to take the ferry over to cozumel or are Rx's available in the RM/cancun area? thanks

it's the same. You'll not need to take a ferry over to cozumel.

You'll be able to find what you need at just about any pharmacy in RM, PDC or Cun. Enjoy your trip!

Do I need to bring an RX with me or is it like Belize and i can just go in and order it?

you usually don't need one for antibiotics. If you happen to be looking for something that you do, umm ... one can easily be found

In Akumal pueblo area there is a pharmacy that has the bigger bottles of Antibiotics everywhere else we found the 12pks.

I would not trust these medicines. More and more there are reports that medicines that are being sold in these places and on the internet including meds coming from Canada are a rip off. The medicine tablets and the capsules are filled with corn starch or other ingredients and have no medicinal qualities to them at all.
