Talking Formal night attire on Aussie cruises

Would be too topical on the Princess boards, so I am not game to ask there!

Is it OK to wear Safari Suits on formal nights?

Figure if it is OK for the boss, it should be OK for the rest of us.

I have a chocolate one and a light green one. Which one should I choose?

Cheers,

Since there's normally 2 formal nights - take both!

And don't forget to take your formal brown and green crocs too!

It'd be such a shame to ruin the formal look of the safari suit by wearing the wrong shoes!!

And make sure the crocs fit properly, nothing worse than your heels hanging over the back! not a good look! See Health and Beauty forum for more info on the fit on sandals

Ah, yes the caftan. Wonderful suggestion!

Don't forget that your lady friend will need accessories to go with her caftan. What better accessory than one that will match your shoes - the Croc Charm Bracelet

Thumbs up Safari suits

Crikey Safari suits, RETRO gear now, I had a bone coloured one in 1972, flares the lot. Would look great on the ship for formal night, might get one at LOWES ?

Cheers.

Where is "safari suit" Geoff anyway??

He hasnt commented on the great advice he has been given

Perhaps he was serious about the suits and is now offended

Gee Duck, what a shame they don't have change of sex nights anymore, we could have borrowed Geoffs suits for the night, green for you and brown for me........noice! Geoff our bridesmaid dresses are available for you, as long as they are drycleaned for us for June

Fair go!

Have got to earn a living somehow. Have just logged in and am laughing profuriously.

Safari Suit Geoff sounds like the sequel to Leisure suit Larry. Maybe I was serious - do you doubt my sincerity?

Will have to ask DW (Barbara) about the kaftan. She had her heart set on a moomoo <sp>

I wish they still had change of sex night too. Not so much the bridesmaid stuff, but my fishnets could use an outing.

Not into Crocs. My dad used to be a walk socks & sandals man. Can't you already tell that I have been scarred for life!

I was planning on wearing my Masseurs if thats OK.

Think your 'Wallys' would make the grade, way more upmarket than pluggers.

You buggers, I am supposed to be packing not sitting here, shaking with laughter.

Just to let you know how serious I am about formal night. I just bought a pair of toeless stockings so I wont commit the fashion faux pas of showing my stockings with my strappy heels.

I didn't know eBay was style & class. There are some really bad examples of these, and they pull as many dollars as a reasonable second hand business suit.

ADF,
You aren't suggesting I should participate in the AWS, are you?

LOL, back to packing - bon voyage, bon appetit, bon bons, Bon Scott.

Guess I better check out Princess & Cunard B4 they get poofed!
