Price drop!!!! I'm so upset!

I am booked on the Mariner and I just went to RC website and realize the price of my cruise dropped $100 per person!!!! what? I'm going nuts! I booked this cruise with a TA, not directly with RC... is there anything I could do? help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you called your TA yet? He/she should be able to get the reduction for you unless you agreed that no reductions could be put through after you paid. Also, if it's for new bookings only you aren't actually entitled.

However, first things first - call your TA.

Your TA can call Royal Caribbean and request the price change......I've done it several times. Don't worry!

call the ta and tell her about the price drop - see if they will give you the new price- is the drop for exact same cabin category as you are currently booked in? if so, you should be able to get it-

If the TA won't give you the reduced price, tell them that you want to cancel your reservation, and then turn right around and rebook it through another TA who will be glad to service the customer..

I saw that mine went up, too. That's OK. Either way it moves, you can be happy. If you get a price drop, you get to be excited about that. If it goes up, you can pat yourself on the back for being smart enough to book early.

Thank you all!!!!!!!! I feel so much better... I just wrote my TA an email and he said he changed the price for us too.... I'm sooooo relieved! it was just a big coincidence... I was just checking the shore excursions and all the sudden I realized the price just dropped...
Glad I could get the price reduction too. That's just fair, they'll drop your price if the prices drop, but they won't raise your price if the price goes up.... that's just fair, right???

Don't give up yet, and keep watching the prices daily. Our final payment for our 07/07/07 Liberty cruise was due end of this past April. The price just kept rising after final payment was due.......it rose $300 pp. I had given up any hope of a price drop. BUT......lo and behold about a month prior to the cruise, I found 2 price drops in one night(our D1 cabin category price drop and a senior price drop) which totaled $1500. I was shaking when I found it!

You're right! You should never give up hope for a price drop. Last year the price of our cruise also went up. I checked daily and then one day I ended up with over $1000 in a price drop. I know what you mean about shaking too...I was on the phone with RC getting our refund, and emailing my husband about it at the same time. My hands were shaking so much I could barely type! Then a few weeks before we sailed, we ended up getting another $100. Not anything like the first one, but $100 is still nice.
