Default do I need a visa to travel in Southern Caribbean?

Hi! everyone! I have a question regarding traveling visas to Caribbean. I am holding US green card with Chinese passport. I booked a cruise to Southern Caribbean. I will fly to San Juan in Puerto Rico and then go to Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, British Islands and St. Thomas. Do i need to apply for visas for entering those countries? I am kinda confused since Puerto Rico is considered US territory.

Default What I found

I am Canadian so researched this two nights ago:

San Juan - http://welcome.topuertorico.org/tinfo.shtml Citizens of other countries (non US) have the same requirements as for entering the US.

Antigua - http://www.antigua-barbuda.com/trave...sport_visa.asp

Cruise ship visitors who would normally require a visa would not require one provided that they arrive in Antigua and Barbuda in the morning and depart the same evening.

Barbados - http://www.barbados.org/docs_cruiseships.htm
Visas are not required for passengers on cruise ships with the exception of citizens of the C.I.S., Eastern European countries, People's Republic of China, Taiwan, South Africa and Korea. Cruise ship passengers who are "in-transit" and stay less than 24 hours are not required to carry a valid passport.

St Lucia -
http://www.stlucia.gov.lc/faq/do_i_n...aint_lucia.htm

I can't help you with the other ports - but I just entered the "country name VISA" in Google and was able to get my answers fairly quickly.

Good luck.

You need to contact the embassies for each of those countries or your Chinese embassy and find out. Do not take the word of the cruise line, your travel agent or anyone here on Cruise Critic.

Good advice. MsYukon's suggestion to check the appropriate government web sites of each country is a good place to start and these sites should provide contact information for local consulates and embassies. I would also suggest checking one's country of origin government site to see what travel advice and/or restrictions are available for the various ports. One may also want to check the US State Department's web site.

The OP is probably aware, but it doesn't hurt to be reminded, don't leave this to the last minute. Should visas be required, obtaining them can take quite a while since they usually can only be applied for serially, i.e. one at a time.

Hi. I am looking into taking the same cruise and I would have few questions for you. How did you like the cruise and would you recommend it? Also, what was the outcome with all visa issues. I am also holding US Green Card and foreign passport. Did you need to get separate visa for each country?

Judging by the number of posts listed for the original poster, she never came back to post again, so don't be too surprised if you don't get an answer.

Whether or not you will need visa depends on what country your passport is from. You will need to look up each individual island and see what that country's rules are for people from your country.
