Default La Guaria-Caracas

Hi, thinking about taking a sea day on this one......does any body have a good argument to stay put or venture out in this port.......We will be on a 14 day cruise, with only 2 sea days, so making a 3rd could be a blessing...to the body and pocketbook

What would you do if you did take an excursion?, either ship or self.
Also is there anything you can do in port for a couple of hours?...shopping,food etc.

I docked at this port many years ago And am going back this year....Within the dock area there was nothing no shops or bars etc..My lasting memory will be the 100ft high rubbish dump that we faced in the distance yuk...More of an industrial type area with a lot of poverty....Some of my fellow passengers took the tour into Caracus with very mixed reviews This time i will be staying firmly on my sun bed
