I hope all is well with him. I had the distinct pleasure of spending an hour on the bridge with him on my first cruise a year and a half ago. He has quite the quick wit.

Thanks chessbriar. The Solstice is where I was also thinking he would be on next. I don't think he's on there yet. According to an X daily that was posted recently it still shows Capt. Skyligionnis as the master. I'm sure he'll be taking over soon.

Default Capt Kafetzis

Does anyone know when Capt Dimitrios Kafetzis will be on vacation? I would like to go on a cruise on the Silhouette next year and our neighbors raved about him when they were on Solstice. I've heard he's on the new ship and from what I've read, it sounds like he began early July. I think they are 3 months on and 3 months off.
Thanks for any help.

Default It Is My Understanding...

That he was Master of the Silhouette on her September 27 Holy Land cruise...

Wow, he has a following?! He is the only Capt whose name I remember and he is a hottie and very funny, but I had no idea he was popular enough to have a thread specifically about him.

I just got off of the Silhouette and they changed captains in the middle of the cruise rather that at the first. No explanation was made. He did a stand up routine the first night out and was hilarious!!!!!

I like Captain Rockstar better mainly because we have sailed with him so often. C. Kafetzis just left for holidays and Captain Pagonis is now at the helm of Silhouette.

He's a very nice man. I had the honor of sitting next to him at the Captain's Table one night. Really enjoyed his company. He is very entertaining and approachable.

Hi Leibe,

Just as an FYI - Captains occasionally change Mid-Cruise. It's not typical, but it's happened to us a couple of times. When it does happen, it's just a matter of scheduling.

I was on Solstice with him last Nov. He is hysterical! He also was a riot in the volleyball game. I would love to cruise with him again.
