Happy easter weekend!

Been watching the boards, but i’ve not posted anything for a while.
Me and John just got round to paying the outstanding amount on our cruise so it’s time to get ecstatic about getting the tickets through shortly.

Only 35 days till we fly across to New Orleans - how quickly have the months crept up!

SARAH - can you add me & John to the trip if there are places available - being able to tell people i’ve been to hell, sounds great!

We are still waiting for our doc's to arrive. For the groups that already have your docs...were they sent directly to you from RCL? Or from your TA?

Our docs are sent to our TA who verifies them to ensure they are correct and if they are he schedules a time when we can meet with him and go over the documents together.

we dont have our doc's yet, we booked through our TA.

We booked a tour for Cozumel last night, it is called catch the wave undersea BOND adventure. We can't wait for that!

The last time we went with RCI we booked the Cancun transfer, and the tour was in our doc's, so what happens if I get my docs on Tuesday and then book a tour on the Wednesday, do I get the tour tickets in my cabin?

What is everyone else doing in Cozumel? any heading to Senior Frogs Or Charlies at the pier after spending the day in Cozumel?

I booked directly with RCI and received mine via UPS. I looked them over and everything seems to be in order.

My docs were mailed directly from RCCL via USPS. My daughters and my Moms were sent together in a manilla envelope from RCCL via UPS. We usually receive them directly from my TA.

Kirsty, we booked an excursion online and there is a confirmation in our docs, but in the past the tickets have been delivered to our cabin. I just don't remember whether a confirmation was in our cruise docs or not. But they will be delivered to your cabin if you book anything else online. On the Explorer in December, we went to the Explorations Desk and booked and they gave us our tickets right then instead of delivering them to the cabin.

In Cozumel, we are going to Paradise Beach, then back to town to shop a bit and maybe go to Panchos Backyard for margaritas and guacamole...if we haven't already had too much at Paradise Beach!

Hi there. I see you have been on Grandeur before. What parts of the ship did you like/dislike the most. Are there lots of chairs on the upper decks. I don't need to be right next to the pool!!

I am taking the Mayan Ruins tour in Mexico, haven't seen them yet. Shopping is good in Cozumel. I bought the nicest ring.. several years ago and its help up great. I soooooo excited!!! Anyone else taking the rain forest tour in SanJuan?

San Juan??? we just dont know what to do now.

I went to the San Juan Ports Of Call and someone said you are over 3 hours on the bus, so we dont know what to do. The pricing for the rainforest seemed ok, but I really dont want to be 3 hours on a bus.

There is a walking tour, but im not sure, and then there is the barcardi tour as well, if it was a tour for Vodka then yes but im not a barcardi drinker!

Have you booked the rainforest tour?

What is San Juan like when you get off the ship? is there any to do at the port?

Saturday night..... what is everyone doing???

I looked out the clothes David and I are taking for the cruise and oh boy we are going to be over the limit when we check in for our flight!! is anyone else the same?? Do people usually take less and just get there clothes cleaned on the ship?

David needs to get his kilt jacket and waistcoat dry cleaned, watch out for the kilt!!!

Hi Kirsty: The kilts are going to be my favorite part of this trip.. I have a lot of scotch in my family history and am waiting for the kilts.. I have imagined rock climbing..etc hahahah

If you are interested in history Old SanJuan is nice. I don't know how long a ride it is from the Port as I have never cruised to or from SanJuan. I did do some shopping in Old SanJuan and bought a lovely set of pearls, I'l bring them.

I am not doing part 2 of the repositioning as thought the Rain Forest looked interesting to me. I'll bring my suit and towel and then they will drop me off at the airport

As for packing etc, I read there are no laundry facilities (self service) on board but they will do it for you, don't know how $$. I also have heard that they will have a 70's night and another night with the big bands? not sure though.

I am a cronic overpacker so I know how you feel. I would ask the question about SanJuan if you can run over to a laundry mat in between cruises and just do a load or 2. But that would be me. You might just want to have them do your whatnots on board.

I thought Saturday night we are meeting on the Lido deck with our beads and sail away with our fufu drinks!!

Im so looking forward to meeting everyone to say hi.

The RCCL bus tour to El Yunque is 90 minutes each way which is why we suggested just renting a car as it is a scant 45 minute drive there from San Juan. We are getting a car and planning to drive around the southern side of the island.

We did the Catch the Wave adventure and you will have a great time. We did not do the BOND part but while we snorkling they were all around us having a great time. Everyone seemed to enjoy the included (and unlimited) food, beers and mixed drinks. There was a REAL happy crowd leaving that excursion!!

And the pressing service aboard the ship is not very expensive. We send our formal night (Tuxes and gowns) to be pressed the first day we board.
