My DH and I have been in Puerto Vallarta since December 28th and keep hearing from relatives and friends in Canada and the U.S. that Mexico is so dangerous according to the reports on television and in newspapers. We have spent most winters here in PV for the past 10 years and always feel safe here. We don't see or hear about any drug wars or shootings here. We do hear about shootings in Vancouver and other North American cities quite often though. We think it's safe for cruise ships to stop in Mexico. In fact, we are on an NCL ship that makes 3 stops in Mexico in April and we look forward to visiting those places.
