  1. As an aside. In the late summer/fall of 2022 introduced the shareholder benefits to new cruisers on t(e QM. Friends made the purchase at about $13/14 per share. Since 2022 they have taken 6 cruises across all Carnival brands, with a further 4 booked. Do the Math….. These shareholders are very happy with their ROI Even better the shares (being American residents) are in a 401, but in the UK it’s a SIP
  2. Purchase 100 shares and receive benefits…. Link https://www.carnivalcorp.com/shareholder-information/shareholder-benefit Book a Voyage onboard and receive even more OBC, in addition to the Cunard Fare OBC
  3. It was five years ago, when we stumbled upon Le Bistro Bleu, which was close to the coach pick-up point. It looked inviting, stepped in, simple, good food and wine at a reasonable price. But that said, it was quite some time ago. Maybe a consideration?
  4. Came across by accident. Although not having current live knowledge, one knows a poster who may. @D&N could you kindly assist?
  5. Ask one’s driver to stop at Melvina’s (If she, or her rum shack, is still around). - The islander’s name for Bush Rum is “Wa Bio” Be brave, but be very afraid……
  6. Apologies. Should have stated Martinique is a separate island a great distance from San Juan, with the distilleries sited there. On one’s next visit to Martinique a distillery visit is recommended, especially La Favorite, when the cane is being crushed and Rhum is being produced
  7. As a quick conversation of ECD to USD - Divide the ECD by 2 - Then deduct 20% Therefore ECD 50 = USD 20
  8. Then consider Catherine’s Cafe…. https://catherines-cafe.com Beach (Chair) Menu…. There is also a small on site boutique selling a great variety of useful upmarket holiday items, food and clothing. Cab fare…. $40/50 per cab each way - journey time about 35/40 minutes - Outward driver will be pleased to be time bold for the return to port. Add 10 minutes to the time for ride back, because of possible heavy traffic. Book one’s day in advance……. Excellent food, drinks, service and ambiance Enjoy
  9. Just trying to assist the OP Personally, never undertaken, a tad tacky. However posters have stated they booked on board, then touted the booking to TAs, and whoever gave the biggest discount, additional OBC etc., had the onboard booking transferred to them.
  10. Additional…. Think Yellow is the only bar that will take an advance booking for the desired “Front Row” for one’s group. But do book very early for this beach beds position.
  11. The only differences are… K is attached to a hotel that allows day guests to use (pay) beds and food/drink. Y has a more relaxed ambiance, with food/drink at a slightly lower price point. Advance booking is advisable. Recommend both…. Check out their webs for all information, photos etc., to make a decision based on one’s personal preferences. No doubt other Pinel visitors on CC will add their thoughts.
  12. Cab from Port Rank…..Work on about $35/40.00 per cab pus tip…
  13. Will one’s party be wishing to take lunch, albeit at a chair or seated at a table?
  14. If taking a private tour, discreetly, and confidentiality, ask one’s driver if it would be possible to try “Bush Rum”. The rum is basically Moonshine infused with various herbs (?) grown on the island. Certain infusions can have the effect of numbing one’s lips and mouth. With other infusions giving the feeling that one’s eyes are trying to escape via the back of one’s head. A vendor will have a great variety, with those for the very, very brave “under the counter”. How brave is one? 😱
  15. To assist one will give a realistic indication as to time lines. Usually, without any dockside problems, or a medical emergency, self disembarkation is approximately 1.5 hours after fully docking, UK Customs ship inspections/procedures and luggage offloaded. Collection of suitcases from terminal and the queue to go through to Customs, is about 30 minutes. Allow 3 hours for journey without any comfort break, because of morning Southampton and usual London traffic. No allowance is made for late docking, extra heavy traffic or motorway and/or road accidents, which will cause delays or detours.
