  1. I recall reading a post here several years ago of someone that did a B2B, and the executive chef changed over on turn around day. They were shocked at how quickly the quality of the food changed one week to the next.
  2. These are the wines we sampled the last leg of our current Regal cruise. There were 6 glasses on the table and I kept waiting for the 6th mystery wine, but I sadly came to realize the 6th glass was for the water! 🤣
  3. All our reservations have been in Concerto, so I can't speak to this.
  4. Currently on the Regal, and I can tell you that even *with* a reservation, we've had to wait most nights.
  5. I have varying times, so that wouldn't work, plus I feel that kind of defeats the new, though not improved, concept Princess is trying. I don't know, as we show up for the reservations I made in good faith. Had they requested we move our reservations to another DR, it wouldn't have bothered me in the least. I didn't ask as it wasn't my business. And I agree that 10 minutes is more than adequate to show up for ones requested dining times. I've never asked for a fixed table. I'm happy getting a table type and time as reserved, even if it means going to a different DR. I presumed just in that DR, based on the multi-color highlighted paper seating chart the host showed me. Why that process isn't automated is beyond me. 🙄
  6. Currently on the Regal, with DMW reservations made a year ago, for a private table for 2, different times most nights. We've been asked each night if we wanted to share a table, and when we say no, there's usually a wait, sometimes 15 minutes or more. It was explained to me last night that after people have asked for a set table every night, it just leaves 8-2 tops (I presume for around the time we've been coming in) to satisfy the rest of us with reservations, as well as those without reservations that want a 2 top. Something I observed tonight that kind of irked me, is that while we were waiting, we saw a 2 top already set, with a menu standing on it, which indicates it's being held for a set time/set table guest. We finally got seated next to it, had our apps, our mains, with not terribly quick service, and that table was finally seated around the time our desserts arrived. That table could have been used to serve another party of 2, yet sat empty through just about an entire service. This can't possibly be the most efficient use of the dining rooms, and I can't believe there haven't been changes made. Frankly, there should be no requesting a set table every night. It should be you show up at your reserved time and are sat at the next available table.
  7. Currently on the Regal, and on the 1st leg of our B2B, the letter from GS indicating our Elite benefits said to just show up at the tender deck and show our medalions for priority service (or some such wording). But I never tested this out as our Roll Call organized a timed escort to a tender on our 1st tender port as a group regardless of status, and DH and 1 were 10th in line with nobody holding tickets at all on our 2nd tender port. It seems like every ship handles tendering differently, and it might even vary depending on the port.
  8. Thank you so much, @willoL! That is really good info. The tour I'm looking at is offered by Sagaland Tours, and I bet that's the RIB boat you saw. I'm sorry the tranquility was disturbed by the drone. How incredibly selfish of that person! Take care, and happy sailing!
  9. @willoL I'm hoping you're still monitoring this thread. I'm researching excursions in Qaqortoq, and the trip to the Hvalsey church ruins has me intrigued. Can you offer a few thoughts about it? Was it worth the time? And was the boat like the one shown in the picture on the tour page, a RIB boat? Thank you for your time!
  10. There are so many other different ways to research ports independent of info that Princess will provide. I feel their offerings are skewed to point you in the direction of their ship's excursions.
  11. I've read that VPN doesn't work onboard, but YMMV. You might consider setting your bills up for auto pay, at least for the duration of the cruise. I know the CC bill should be OK, and if the utility bill doesn't have that function, you can always just prepay what amount you think you'll be billed, plus a little extra just in case. Then you can just run on the credit balance for the billing cycles you'll be gone.
  12. Any idea when that's to be implemented? Thanks for the synopsis. I see you added about a fee for room service. Same timeline?
