A lot of times the "warm water" version of lobster may be served on ships. Personally, I hate it, but then again I am one of the fortunate ones who live in an area where Maine lobster is plentiful and sometimes relatively cheap. I do not order in a restaurant or on any cruise. I can see how others that do not have access to fresh Maine lobster would want to order as it is a delicacy not to be missed. I hope you all enjoy.
  2. She Is also Godmother of Vista right?
  3. I like the fact that you can order in room from main dining room for lunch and dinner along with other things mentioned above.
  4. ORV quoted he is retired.
  5. Just reading this thread. I am one of those that spends the extra to be able to: Order from Dining Room Menu for Lunch and Dinner (the menu of the day) I love the Spa Terrace. Have not been on Vista yet (this Nov) but on Riviera I love the big pool with cascading water and jets. From looking at Vista it looks great with beautiful seating, the pool, hot tubs, loungers. Can't wait! As for Concierge lounge, unless you like to read newspapers, not much there (have never seen a concierge). They do have some of O's "famous" cookies, coffee. soda but otherwise I do not go there. Have used the free bags of laundry, most times comes back before the 3 days, but unpressed. Priority embarkation, sometimes doesn't matter. Oceania bag, very nice one now Change the Champagne for wine if you wish. Earlier booking at specialties, yes even Guaranteed. You might even get a better category if they cannot honor your Guaranty. And I actually used the cashmere throw. At first I thought mine to keep. Everybody has their own opinion and mine is I think it is worth it now where it really wasn't years ago.
  6. if you do not go to muster station to let them know, you get a letter on your door to report to registration
  7. There is no paper end of cruise questionnaire. As stated on this board many times and in Currents onboard, this is to be done prior to embarkation online. Instructions are given in currents and on the in room TV. And to be honest not too user friendly and then there is the internet connect issue.
  8. Yep been there. Took a while for me to figure out the noise.
  9. I had one of the alcohol free Lyre cocktails on Regatta in May. 4 sips with ice I think was $12 plus tip. Not going to order again. I think on Vista the new alcohol free french "wine" is $20
  10. Never was enough bar stools in Martinis. A shame because it is a fun area.
  11. Israel has declared war. I too was confused when looking at travel insurance small print. Very sketchy, ultimately, they will probably deny a claim either way. Not really surprised.
  12. I have yet to experience the new ship Vista but have sailed on Regatta/Insignia/Marina/Riviera and to date Riviera is my definite favorite. As Mikey used to say in the old Life commercial " try it, you'll like it"
  13. My travel insurance covered $6200 within 4 weeks of submission. There was no need for me to contact them p[rior to or during treatment. Settled after I arrived home.
  14. Saw this move coming. The B3 deck 7 extended balconies are very popular. On the R ships when we sailed to Alaska the very aft cabins used to be B cat but became so popular were changed to A2.
