Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We will be on this cruise also - leaving tomorrow to spend a few days in Ft Lauderdale first.
  2. I think CC is too busy with just the Royal Caribbean cruises. Just look at the schedule! https://www.cruisetimetables.com/coco-cay-bahamas-cruise-ship-schedule-2023.html There is about 5k or more people there every day if the ships are running full.
  3. I can't find the link on Celebrity's website to sign up for the go green - does anyone have it? Nevermind - It was posted as I was looking!
  4. I thought the smoothies included greek yogurt so that would not be vegan.
  5. With all the new changes I can no longer find anything on Celebrity's website that says we can bring on limited quantities of soda or water. Does anyone have a reliable source for this?
  6. It’s no different than going to a restaurant and finding they are out of something. Stuff happens and people get so bent out of shape over little things. I love gentleman Jack. Last cruise they ran out so I tried different options. Didn’t detract from my vacation at all.
  7. These are probably the same people complaining about their favorite alcohol not being available. on Embarkation day, they get new stock, it's also the bartenders trying to move that product up to each bar, unpacking and restock on embarkation day as well as sometimes even having to help with luggage or as back up in the Ocean View Cafe. Embarkation day is crazy crazy busy for all the shipboard employees much less elites whining they want more free drinks. And this is all on top of meeting any Customs requirements where crew must present their passports and get checked.
  8. Wow - Celebrity offers a nice perk for elites to get free drinks from 5-7 every day after embarkation and it seems like some people can't just say, wow, thanks for a great perk. Instead it's just complaining that what they are getting is not enough, they want MORE. It's a PERK, it's not any thing more than that.
  9. So you can calculate if the drink package would have saved you money - but......... I found that when I have the drink package, it influences my behavior. I had the premium package last time and it was wonderful. Yes I drank more than I usually do but it was so worth it to not worry about what price a drink was and signing those damn receipts. The sunset bar had us as number 7 on "speed dial" they called it. I do have a spreadsheet that I created from my last cruise. I guessed at some of the prices because I didn't really pay attention with the premium package. (FYI the sunset bar was for malibu rum and pineapple juice which I can drink all day without getting intoxicated). Without the premium package I probably would have drank less becuase I'm not thrilled with the brands on the classic plan.
  10. Many of those bartenders are also looking for extra cash tips so keeping us happy works for them. On the Solstice, the bartender at the World Class bar was so amazing, we did give him an envelope with an extra cash tip along with the bartender at the Encore Lounge and the waiter in Murano.
  11. I just checked the app for our cruise leaving on Saturday and single shot espresso is $4, Cappuccino, Latte, Americano, etc are $5, soda is $3 and Evian water is $3.50. It doesn't have a price for any other water. However, I think you also get the premium juice (OJ) which is $3.50, vitamin water which is $4.50 and some others.
  12. We earned elite on a back to back cruise also - just had to go to customer service and they applied it.
  13. Yeah, I was searching on the Celebrity site. I was thinking 4 months was a really long ti e
  14. There is a huge gap in the schedule for the Solstice. It looks like May 26th is the last cruise, then nothing scheduled until Sept 15 so it looks like maybe it's finally going in for refurbishment and your cruise might be the last if not close the last before that.
